QT Dog Redesigns Antlerz Packaging

QT Dog's new Antlerz packaging now includes the tagline "The Original" and a statement about sanitation.
QT Dog LLC of Dallas has revamped the packaging for its Antlerz brand dog chews. The changes were driven by consumer request for more information, according to the company.

Antlerz dog chews are made from antlers shed by wild deer. The new packaging features the tagline "The Original" and a statement informing consumers that all Antlerz brand chews have been sanitized.

"The Original" tagline helps distinguish the brand from similar products in the marketplace, said Mike Thomas, vice president of development.

"We just wanted to enforce to the consumer and to the retailer that, as the original, we should be considered the most knowledgeable about this unique product," Thomas said.

The statement about sanitation aims to reassure dog owners that the product, which has been picked up from out in the wild, is free from potential microbial contamination, the company reported

The changes are depicted on all package sizes, including small, medium, large, jumbo and monster. The company began shipping product in the new packaging in mid-June.
