Quaker Pet Group acquires Watson''s Senior Pet Supplies

Quaker Pet Group (QPG) is excited to announce its newest strategic pet-industry acquisition: Watson's™ Senior Pet Supplies. As the third acquisition in 13 months, QPG continues its forward progress to acquire best-in-class pet product brands.

Watson's Senior Pet Supplies was founded in 2004 with a single handmade leash designed to improve mobility for founder Arnie Costell's beloved senior pet companion, Watson. That original patented product, the top-selling Bottoms Up™ Leash, continues to be the choice of dog owners and Veterinarians alike. Benefiting senior pets and the owners that care for them, the Bottoms Up design has improved the lives of thousands struggling with physical challenges and continues to be a legacy to a wonderful dog.

Formed by industry veterans David Blatte and Neil Werde, Quaker Pet Group acquired New York Dog in July 2010, the Sherpa Pet Group in February 2011, and now Watson's. Adding senior-focused specialty products to its expanding Silver Tails product line provides a stronger opportunity to improve the lives of pets worldwide.
